Q: What is the minimum age for Defqon.1 Festival Australia?
A: The minimum age to enter Defqon.1 is 18 years. Acceptable forms of ID are limited to Australian Drivers’ License, Passports, Keypass ID, or RTA endorsed proof of age card. Copies are not allowed.
Q: Do I have to activate my online ticket?
A: No, your online ticket is already activated and you're all set for an unforgettable day at Defqon.1.
Q: Can I use my bankcard during the festival?
A: EFTPOS is available at all token booths and the merchandise stand. We recommend that you bring enough cash to the festival due to the limited availablility of ATMs.
Q: Is there a cloakroom available?
A: There will be a cloakroom at Defqon.1, located before the bridge onto the island. Cost is $5, and you can return as many times as you would like throughout the day. ‘Lost and found’ enquiries should be directed to the cloakroom.
Q: Can I use a locker?
A: There won't be any lockers available at Defqon.1. You can make use of the cloakroom located near the entrance of the festival.
Q: Until what time can I enter the festival?
A: You can enter Defqon.1 Festival until 7PM. There is no admission after 7PM.
Q: Can I leave the festival and come back later on the day?
A: Defqon.1 Festival does not have pass outs and you cannot re-enter the festival.
Q: I’m disabled. Can I still experience Defqon.1 the best way possible?
A: If you are the holder of a companion card or you require special assistance, notification is required via written communication to email@example.com, so we can assist you with your booking.
Suitable and valid identification must be provided upon request. Written communication needs to be received at least 7 days prior to the event date for your booking requirements to be actioned on.
What can I bring?
Q: Can I bring medication?
A: All prescription drugs will be assessed and reviewed by our trained medical personnel. Their decision on the items will be final. If in doubt then please carry your prescription with you.
Q: I am on a special diet and want to bring my own food.
A: All food and drinkable liquids are prohibited and will be taken from you. A wide array of food and drinks will be available at the festival.
Q: Can I bring drugs?
A: The drug policy is ZERO-TOLERANCE. This means that all types of soft- and hard drugs are prohibited. If drugs are found, you will be handed over to the police.
Q: Can I bring my camera?
A: Everyone can bring a camera to Defqon.1, with the exception of professional recording and video equipment, camera stands (tripods) and mega zoom lenses. GoPro's are allowed (no extension arms).
Professional equipment is only allowed if you have written permission from Q-dance. When posting your pictures on social media use the hashtag #Defqon1.

A: All lost and found enquiries go through http://regattacentre.nsw.gov.au/contact.
Q: Where does Defqon.1 Festival Australia take place and what is the address?
A: Defqon.1 Festival Australia will take place at the Sydney International Regatta Centre. The address is: Old Castlereagh Road, Castlereagh 2749 NSW, Australia.
Q: What is the best way to travel to Defqon.1 Weekend Festival?
A: The best and easiest way to travel to Defqon.1 is by using the train and travel to Penrith Station. Free shuttle busses that are leaving from the North side of the station will bring you to Defqon.1. Your Defqon.1 ticket cost includes travel on Sydney Trains services, and free event return shuttle buses from Penrith Station on the day of the event. This does not include Airport Link.
Q: Can I come by car? And is there parking available?
A: There is limited parking available on site on Saturday so arrive early to get a park. Pay on the day parking will be charged at $20 and can only be paid with correct cash. If you do decide to drive, please car pool.
Q: I’ve booked my own bus. What do I have to arrange?
A: If you have organized a group to travel by bus or coach, please download the Private Charter / Coach info brochure. You can download it here.
Q: Can someone drop me off at the festival?
A: There are NO drop off and pickup points at the festival site. Any cars or taxis for drop offs will be turned away and sent to Penrith Station. Please advise all drivers who will be dropping off or pickup to meet at the Southern Side of Penrith Station.
